City of Elmhurst issued the following announcement on Jan. 2.

The City of Elmhurst recently received the Home Builders Association Key Award for Municipality of the Year. 

The Association awards architects, builders and designers in the greater Chicago area for their exceptional work. Elmhurst is the 3rd municipality to be recognized by the association in 47 years. 

The Municipality of the Year Award recognizes the City of Elmhurst for its growth and development, as well as innovative planning and decision making which has led to economic growth.
