The campaign committee of judge (Circuit Court/18th Circuit) candidate Liam Brennan, Friends of Judge Liam Brennan, returned a $13,380 contribution from William Brennan on Jan. 18, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Brennan has not made any other contributions to Liam Brennan in the past 12 months.
