Village of Addison issued the following announcement on July 27.
A contractor for the Village of Addison will perform watermain replacement and street resurfacing on Army Trail Boulevard from Central Court to Mill Road.
The project began the week of June 25, and will include along the north side of Army Trail Boulevard from Broadview Avenue to Lombard Road.
Additionally, sidewalks will be replaced at various locations and at all intersections for ADA compliance. A drainage box culvert that conveys Westwood Creek from south to north will be installed under Army Trail Boulevard to replace an old, deteriorated metal pipe. The entire project is expected to be complete by early November, depending on weather conditions.
Permanent and temporary daily lane closures will be in place, so please drive carefully.e cautiously through the project area. Electronic message boards are in place, advising motorists of the work.
The Army Trail Boulevard Water Main Replacement and Resurfacing Project is being funded in part by the Illinois Department of Transportation with contractor R.W. Dunteman performing the work.
