Analysis: Wheaton pays $2.73 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Wheaton Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74.2 percent of the $2,698,012 the Wheaton Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.73 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Wheaton contributed $2,000,982 to the fund, which saw a $110,993 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $730,909, or 27.1 percent, in 2016.
