City of Oakbrook Terrace City Council and Committee of the Whole met May 9.

Here is the agenda provided by the Council and the Committee:

I. Call to Order

The Mayor called the May 9, 2017, Regular and Committee of the Whole Meeting of the City Council to order at 7:00 P.M.

II. Roll Call

Roll call indicated the following Aldermen were in attendance:

Present: Esposito, Greco, Przychodni, Swartz, Vlach, and Mayor Ragucci Absent: Thomas

Also in attendance were City Clerk M. Shadley, City Administrator A. Marrero, Assistant to the Mayor and City Administrator M. Sarallo, Deputy Clerk C. Downer, and City Attorney R. Ramello.

III. Pledge f Allegiance

The Mayor led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance.

IV. Additions or Deletions to the Agenda

None.

V. Approval of Minutes – Changes or Corrections

1. Regular Meeting Minutes Of April 25, 2017.

Motion to approve the minutes of the April 25, 2017 Regular City Council and Committee of the Whole as presented was made by Alderman Swartz and seconded by Alderman Vlach.

Ayes: Esposito, Przychodni, Swartz, Thomas, and Vlach Nays: None

Motion passed.

VI. Public Participation

None.

VII. Adjourn the City Council Sine Die

Motion To Adjourn The City Council Sine Die was made by Alderman Esposito and seconded by Alderman Greco.

Ayes: Esposito, Greco, Przychodni, Swartz, and Vlach Nays: None

Motion passed.

VIII. Swearing-in of New City Council Members

Deputy Clerk Downer administered the oath of office to Mayor Ragucci. Mayor Ragucci administered the oath of office to City Clerk Shadley, Alderman Esposito, and Alderman Vlach.

IX. Convene the Meeting of the New City Council

Motion to convene the meeting of the new City Council was made by Alderman Esposito and Alderman Greco.

Motion passed unanimously through a voice vote.

X. Call to Order

Ragucci called the May 9, 2017, Regular and Committee of the Whole Meeting of the City Council to order.

XI. Roll Call

Roll call indicated the following Aldermen were in attendance:

Present: Esposito, Greco, Swartz, Vlach, and Mayor Ragucci Absent: Thomas

Also in attendance were City Administrator A. Marrero, Deputy City Clerk C. Downer, Assistant to the Mayor and City Administrator M. Sarallo, and City Attorney R. Ramello.

XII. Action Items/Consent Agenda

1. Payment of City Bills: May 9, 2017 In The Amount Of $422,063.64. 2. Ordinance No. 17-20: An Ordinance Granting An Exception From The Zoning

Ordinance And Amending The Planned Unit Development For 1 Tower Lane In The City Of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

Motion to approve all the items contained on the Consent Agenda for May 9, 2017 as presented was made by Alderman Vlach and seconded by Alderman Swartz.

Ayes: Esposito, Greco, Swartz, and Vlach Nays: None

Motion passed.

XIII. Items Removed from the Consent Agenda

None.

XIV. Recess to the Committee of the Whole

Motion to recess to the Committee of the Whole portion of this meeting was made by Alderman Esposito and seconded by Alderman Greco.

Ayes: Esposito, Greco, Swartz, and Vlach Nays: None

Motion passed.

XV. Mayor Ragucci

Mayor Ragucci congratulated the newly elected Alderman Esposito, Alderman Vlach, and City Clerk Shadley. Mayor Ragucci thanked them for their service. Mayor Ragucci thanked everyone for coming out tonight and said he looks forward to the next four (4) years. Mayor Ragucci indicated that he will be appointing Bob Przychodni to the open Alderman position for Ward Three (3) at an upcoming meeting. Mayor Ragucci thanked Bob for serving on the Council.

XVI. Committee of the Whole Considerations

None.

XVII. Council Member Comments

Alderman Esposito thanked Mayor Ragucci and said it has been a quick four (4) years and that he is honored to work with the Council. Alderman Esposito said there is a great team in place and the City will keep moving forward. Alderman Esposito said he received a complaint from a resident regarding the traffic along Hodges and Monterey and asked that a speed trailer be placed at this location. Mayor Ragucci said the speed trailer will be placed there. Alderman Greco said it is an honor to serve with the Council. Alderman Vlach congratulated the newly elected officials and wished everyone a Happy Mother’s Day. Alderman Swartz congratulated the newly elected officials.

XVIII. City Attorney Ramello

City Attorney Ramello congratulated the newly elected officials.

XIX. City Clerk Shadley

City Clerk Shadley congratulated the newly elected officials.

XX. City Administrator Marrero

City Administrator Marrero said she is looking forward to another great four (4) years.

XXI. Reconvene the City Council Meeting

Motion to reconvene the City Council meeting was made by Alderman Esposito and seconded by Alderman Greco.

Ayes: Esposito, Greco, Swartz, and Vlach Nays: None

Motion passed.

XXII. Old Business

None.

Adjourn

Motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Swartz and seconded by Alderman Vlach at 7:11PM.

Motion carried unanimously.
