Westmont police commission hires probationary officers

The Westmont Board of Fire and Police Commission met June 27 to hire probationary patrol officers.

Here is the meeting's agenda, as provided by the board:

The board typically meets at 2 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month to discuss topics related to police and fire department personnel, and make recommendations to the Village Board.

The Westmont Board of Fire and Police Commissioners has determined the need for a Special Meeting to address the items listed in the agenda below.

1. CALL TO ORDER

2. ROLL CALL

3. ONGOING BUSINESS

a. Promotion of one current Patrol Officer Rank individual currently on the “Final Sergeant Promotion Eligibility List” effective December 19, 2014. Said promotion shall be made in accordance with the current rules and regulations of the Westmont Board of Fire and Police Commissioners.

b. Hiring of Probationary Patrol Officers to fill current department vacancies.

c. Hiring of a Probationary Patrol Officer candidate to fill the vacancy created by the promotion under item 3.a. of this agenda.

4. NEW BUSINESS

a. Authorization of invoices for any services rendered to the commission in the course of our official duties.

5. ADJOURNMENT

Note: The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners may enter executive session for the discussion of personnel and legal matters as needed, however all board votes are conducted in open session.
