Youth golf classes are planned for next month in the Glen Ellyn Park District, details the fall-activity guide on the district's website.
Pitch and Putt Golf will start at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, and run for six weeks. Participants will use adapted equipment. The focus will be on hand-eye coordination and form in order to improve fundamentals such as chipping, full shots, pitching and putting. The class is intended for boys and girls ages 6-8. Cost is $50 for residents and $75 for nonresidents.
Adult and Child Smart Golf is a class for parent and children ages 3-5 to play the game together. Children will learn the basics of golf, including putting, chipping and tee work. The class starts at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, and runs for six sessions through Oct. 12. Fees to participate are $50 for residents and $75 for nonresidents.
