The St. Charles, Illinois City Council met earlier this week to discuss several appointments and ordinances.
The council was to vote on the appointment of Debi Mader and Sharon Spero to the St. Charles Visitors Cultural Commission. In addition, Keith Rollins was to be appointed to the Board of Fire & Police Commissioners.
The council also reviewed several amendments to residential and mixed-use business districts within the city code. Also up for a council vote was a resolution recommending approval of an application for a Special Use for a PUD (planned unit development) and the PUD Preliminary Plan for Hillcroft Estates, 1147 Geneva Rd.
There was also a motion to ratify a Planning and Development Committee recommendation to increase the Downtown Business Economic Incentive Program’s boundaries to include properties adjoining all major commercial corridors.
