The village of Bloomingdale will present updates on the East Branch DuPage River Greenway Bike Trail at 5:30 p.m. April 13 in the upper level council room of Village Hall.
The presentation will include the project's status, proposals, design alternatives and a tentative schedule. The preliminary reports, drawings, maps and photos will also be available at the meeting. Village representatives will be available at 5 p.m. as well as after the presentation to answer questions from the public.
The East Branch DuPage River Greenway Bike Trail is a 31-mile bikeway that will link the North Central DuPage Regional Trail with the Illinois Prairie Path, Great Western Trail, and eventually, the Southern DuPage County Regional Trail.
The trail will provide easy access to the communities near Bloomingdale, including Addison, Bolingbrook, Lisle, Wheaton and Woodridge as well as the College of DuPage and Benedictine College. The trail will also tie together the 10 forest preserves in DuPage County.
Bloomingdale has received a grant that will pay for the trail between Lake St. and Army Trail Road. Interested parties can fill out a comment sheet at the meeting or access the reports, engineering analysis and comment form here.
