Speed limit on stretch of County Farm Road may fall to 30 mph

Speed

The DuPage County Transportation Committee will discuss lowering the speed limit from 40 mph to 30 mph on County Farm Road between U.S. 20 and Swinford Road during its regular meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Room 3500B at 421 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton.

Other items on the meeting agenda include a proposal for the county's chief highway engineer to attend the Illinois Transportation and Highway Engineering Conference in Champaign in February, which will cost the county $700.

The committee also will discuss two intergovernmental agreements for sidewalk construction along CH 38/63rd Street, from Ridge Road to Richmond Avenue, and along CH 21/Geneva Road, from Western Avenue to Highland Avenue. Also up for discussion is an intergovernmental agreement for intersection improvements at CH 4/Roselle Road and Walnut Street.
