The Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce recently received the 3-Star Chamber of Valor Award from Hiring Our Heroes, a group that helps veterans, transitioning service members and military spouses find employment.
“We would never be able to do the work we do without the tremendous support of local chambers, and the Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce is setting a standard for other chambers to follow,” Eric Eversole, executive director of Hiring Our Heroes and vice president at the U.S. Chamber, said. “The Aurora Regional Chamber has been instrumental in educating and influencing employers about the great value veterans and military spouses bring to the workforce.”
The Chamber of Valor is given to local chambers, industry associations and other business-development groups nationwide that support the Hiring Our Heroes mission. The Aurora Regional Chamber of Commerce’s score of three stars is the highest possible honor.
“The Aurora Regional Chamber is honored to receive the highest recognition from the U.S. Chamber for our veteran programs,” Joseph Henning, president and CEO of the Aurora Regional Chamber, said. “Our members are proud to support the efforts of Hiring Our Heroes through employment and education initiatives for veterans and their families.”
