The 2016 Street Program includes the west side, consisting of Eighth Court from Oak St. to South End; Avalon Court from S. 15th St. to West End; Greenwood Lane from Oxmoor Court to the northern end of Red Gate Park; Mockingbird Court from Greenwood Lane to West End; Oxmoor Court from Greenwood Lane to East End; Peck Road from IL Route 38 to south of Dean St.; and S. Eighth St. from Oak St. to Indiana St.

Also, on the east side, are Crabapple Lane from Persimmon Drive to Persimmon Drive; Dukane Drive from Stone Drive to Kirk Road; North Tyler Road from East Main St. to Allen Lane; S. 10th Ave. from South Ave. to Indiana Ave.; Stone Drive from Production Drive to Dukane Drive; and Walnut Ave. from S. Second Ave. to S. Fifth Ave.

Projects dates for the west side are June 29 to Aug. 15; for the east side, July 13 to Aug.15; for North Tyler Road, August through October, pending EPA permit approval; and for Peck Road, July through September.

“It’s important to have streets in good working order for safe, reliable transportation throughout the community,” Civil Engineering Project Coordinator Gary Long said. “The city works hard to keep our streets and infrastructure well-maintained.”

Letters have been mailed to residents who may be affected by the construction.
