The Elk Grove Village Fire Department is offering a Business Fire Academy for area business owners on Thursday and Friday.
The academy will be held 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. both days at Station 1, 1000 Oakton St., in Elk Grove. Participants should select one day only.
Topics to be covered include fire department operations, emergency action plans, fire extinguisher training, severe weather emergencies, and health and safety demonstrations.

The class size is limited to two participants per business and a maximum of 20 attendees per session.
