Open house to review wetland mapping project set

A public open house to review the DuPage County, Illinois, mapping project will take place from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29 at the DuPage County Government Center, Jack T. Kneuepfer Building Auditorium, 421 County Farm Road, Wheaton, Illinois.

At the open house, a preliminary Flood Insurance Study report will be presented, as well as Flood Insurance Rate Map panels. Officials will also speak about how documents are reviewed and adopted, and public comments will be taken.

The open house is part of a three-year initiative to get updated wetlands information to residents, developers and businesses across DuPage County. The county's stormwater management department recently updated its wetlands map in keeping with federal protocols and standards.

Questions can be directed to Shelly Fuller at 217-300-0221 or mlfuller@Illinois.edu. The new wetland map can be viewed online at http://dupage.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=3a749dce480f4f80b23013093d69c9a6.
