Mark Kirk (R-IL) designed to funnel much-needed funding into the care for veterans cleared a critical procedural hurdle last week, setting up the potential Senate passage of a FY2016 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs (MilCon/VA) Appropriations bill that would fund the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at a level higher than the president’s original budget request.

Work hours extended to expedite Elk Grove water-main project's completion

Construction continues on Elk Grove Village's Love Street water-main replacement.To complete the project in the most time-efficient manner and to maximize daylight, village officials have authorized the contractor to start work on the project at 6 a.m. daily and to work Saturdays.
