State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro has announced the start of her third annual Food and Coat Drive, aimed at assisting families in need during the holiday season. The initiative will run from November 1 through November 17, with donations being accepted at her district office located at 994 W. Army Trail Road in Carol Stream. The office will be open for drop-offs Monday through Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Community members are encouraged to donate new or gently used winter clothing items such as coats, hats, gloves, jackets, sweatshirts, as well as non-perishable food items. All contributions will be distributed to local families before the holidays.

“This time of year can be especially difficult for many families,” said Rep. Sanalitro. “Together, we can help our neighbors stay warm and fed this holiday season. I’m so grateful for the continued generosity of our community.”

Sanalitro represents Illinois House District 48, which covers several suburban communities including Addison, Bensenville, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Elk Grove Village, Hanover Park, Itasca, Medinah, Roselle, Schaumburg, and Wood Dale in DuPage and Cook counties.

Sanalitro is a Republican who was elected to the Illinois State House in 2023 to represent District 48 after succeeding Terra Costa Howard.

For more information about the drive or how to participate, individuals can contact Rep. Sanalitro’s office by phone at (630) 349-0645 or via email.
