The Wheaton City Council will hold a public hearing on July 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of Wheaton City Hall, located at 303 West Wesley Street, to consider a zoning application related to a pre-annexation agreement for property at 25W021 Geneva Road.
The meeting will be accessible both in-person and via Zoom. The virtual option can be accessed through the provided webinar link or by dialing (312) 626-6799 with Meeting ID: 829 4643 6841 and Passcode: 708470.
The petition under consideration is Zoning Application #26-18, submitted by Jeffrey and Kimberly Andersen of the same address. The proposal seeks approval for a pre-annexation agreement that would allow the subject property to connect to City of Wheaton water services. If approved and once contiguous with city limits, the property would be annexed into Wheaton and rezoned as R-4 Residential District.
According to the notice, "At the public hearing, anyone wishing to make a public statement will be encouraged to do so." Written comments may also be submitted before or during the hearing. Copies of both the annexation petition and agreement are available for review at the office of the Director of Planning and Economic Development during normal business hours.
The subject property is legally described as Lot 3 in Wheaton Park Terrace subdivision within DuPage County. The legal description details its location within Section 8, Township 39 North, Range 10 East of the Third Principal Meridian.
