July-Dec. 2019 Recap: Parolees in Glen Ellyn convicted of drug crimes
There were two offenders convicted of drug crimes released on parole in Glen Ellyn during the second half of 2019, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the DuPage Policy Journal.
The data shows that a man and woman were released in Glen Ellyn. The younger parolee was a 34-year-old man sentenced in 2010. The other was a 36-year-old woman sentenced in 2019.
The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Bruce Fancher. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2010 when he was 24 years old. He is now 34.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
