Cheapest regular gas in DuPage County at $4.69 per gallon in week ending May 16

In the week ending May 16, two gas stations in DuPage County sold regular gas at the lowest reported price of $4.69 per gallon, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

Regular gas prices averaged $5.08 per gallon in DuPage County.

GasBuddy reports show that regular gas was available at 249 of the 260 reported gas stations in DuPage County.

For comparison, the average price of regular gas in Illinois was $5.01 per gallon for the week ending May 16, up from the previous week.

Drivers in the United States have faced volatile gas prices in recent years as global oil markets reacted to wars, sanctions, refinery outages and shifting fuel demand.
