Analysis: Winfield pays $7.23 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Winfield Police Pension Fund
Taxpayers contributed 87.6 percent of the $1,031,153 the Winfield Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $7.23 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.
In all, Winfield contributed $902,778 to the fund, which saw a $53,245 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $124,788, or 12.1 percent, in 2018. Another $3,587 came from other unspecified sources.
