Analysis: Winfield pays $6.28 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Winfield Police Pension Fund
Taxpayers contributed 86.3 percent of the $872,262 the Winfield Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $6.28 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.
In all, Winfield contributed $752,452 to the fund, which saw a $140,617 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $119,810, or 13.7 percent, in 2016.
