Ace Hardware and Uber Technologies announced on Apr. 7 a partnership that will make more than 3,700 Ace Hardware locations across all 50 states available on the Uber Eats platform. The collaboration aims to provide customers with easier access to home improvement products through both on-demand and scheduled delivery options.

The move is intended to meet changing consumer habits by allowing people to shop for hardware essentials from their local Ace store using the Uber Eats app. Customers can now browse products, select their preferred store, and have items delivered directly to their doorstep.

Bill Kiss, Head of Digital at Ace Hardware, said, “Ace is built on a network of locally-owned stores that are deeply rooted in the communities they serve, and partnering with Uber allows us to meet our customers wherever they are. Whether they’re tackling a last-minute project or planning ahead, our customers now have greater access to fast, flexible solutions for getting the products they need delivered right to their doorstep.”

Uber Eats has been expanding its services beyond food delivery into other retail categories such as home improvement and electronics. In 2025 alone, it added more than a thousand new retailers globally and over 50,000 retail locations in the United States. Hashim Amin, Head of Grocery and Retail for Uber in North America said, “Consumers are increasingly turning to Uber Eats for more than just meals. They rely on us for a variety of essentials, from paint supplies, to mulch for the garden, to the tools needed to kick off a weekend yard cleanup. We’re proud to welcome Ace Hardware’s extensive network and loyal customers to our platform as we continue to expand the selection available to shoppers on Uber Eats.”

To use this service through Uber Eats: users can open the app under 'Home & DIY,' choose an Ace location nearby from which they wish items delivered or scheduled for later arrival; then track deliveries in real time.
