For the week ending July 11, 2026, Clarendon Hills had one scam report, according to Better Business Bureau.

Reported losses for the week totaled $174, from the only report that listed an amount.

The largest reported loss, $174, involved an online purchase scam. The report said the buyer ordered from a website that claimed ties to a former Nordstrom designer. After the customer did not receive the items and found no contact information, a later search turned up bad reviews and fraud complaints. The received products had tags in a Chinese dialect, prompting concerns about potential electronic viruses if the customer used their email. A tracking inquiry showed the package originated overseas.
