Ace Hardware and Ace Handyman Services receive top honors on Entrepreneur’s 2026 list
Ace Hardware and its subsidiary, Ace Handyman Services, were recognized on Entrepreneur magazine's annual ‘Best of the Best’ franchise list, according to a July 22 announcement. The companies earned top rankings in their respective categories, with Ace Hardware named No. 1 in miscellaneous retail and Ace Handyman Services leading the home repairs and handyman services category.

The ‘Best of the Best’ designation highlights the highest-ranked franchise in each industry category among Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500. The annual ranking evaluates franchises using more than 150 data points including costs, fees, size, growth, franchisee support, brand strength, and financial stability.

Ace Handyman Services was established in 1998 as Handyman Matters before being acquired by Ace Hardware in 2019. The brand now consists of locally owned franchises staffed by skilled craftspeople providing various home repair, improvement, and maintenance services.
