Wyatt Wawro helps Northern Illinois secure 5-1 win over Miami RedHawks in Division I baseball

At 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, former Downers Grove South High School standout Wyatt Wawro’s current college program, the Northern Illinois Huskies, earned a 5-1 NCAA Division I baseball victory over the Miami RedHawks.
The matchup was held at Ralph McKinzie Field at Walt and Janice Owens Park. It marked their second meeting with the RedHawks this season. During their game on Friday, March 20, the Huskies prevailed 17-13.
Wawro finished with two hits, three at-bats and drew one walk.
The Huskies will face the RedHawks again at Ralph McKinzie Field at Walt and Janice Owens Park on Sunday, March 22.
