Warrenville FPD responds to 59 fires in 2018
Warrenville Fire Protection District responded to 336 calls in 2018 - 2.6 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.
The calls in Warrenville included 59 fires - 26 structure fires, nine vehicle fires and 24 other fires.
In all, the department saw $1,521,655 in fire loss - or about $25,791 per fire.
The department also received 277 false calls, including 17 malicious calls and 260 other false calls.
The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury. Additionally, four fire service member were injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Warrenville Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $3,973,913 in 2018.
The Warrenville FPD Firefighters Pension Fund, which has nine active employees and seven retired or inactive employees, was $173 in debt as of April 2017, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $-4 for every fire in 2017.
