U.S. House candidate Davis on campaign: 'Washington has lost touch with the real people'
Jennifer Davis, U.S. House candidate in Illinois’ 8th District, said she’s running as a political outsider to apply business experience and data-driven strategies in Washington. The statement was made in a recorded video debate.
"The answer is that I'm running as a political outsider because Washington has lost touch with the real people and how to support that American dream," said Davis. "That American dream that we executed is no longer available to our kids and our grandkids, and especially not in this state. We can't afford any more career politicians who choose power and party over people. I'm not running to run. I'm running to win."
Davis participated in a Republican primary debate for Illinois’ 8th Congressional District, where she emphasized her experience as a business owner and local resident. She discussed her background in building a global software company, raising a family within the district, and applying data-driven strategies to public service. During the debate, Davis addressed issues such as fiscal policy, energy, infrastructure, and family-related government policies.
