The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2021 in Carol Stream rose by $25,000 while total sales increased by 44.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2021, there were 231 homes sold, with a median sale price of $280,000 - a 9.8% increase over the $255,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 160 homes sold in Carol Stream in the third quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in Carol Stream for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $6,897, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2021.
