Illinois Wesleyan leads after the first round of the 2025 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Golf Championship, which began Monday at Metamora Fields Golf Club in Metamora, Illinois. The team, which has won the last three CCIW women’s golf titles, posted a score of 301 and holds an 11-stroke advantage with two rounds remaining.

Carthage is currently in second place with a score of 312. Augustana and North Central are tied for third at 315. The rest of the standings after the opening round are Millikin (340), Carroll (342), Elmhurst (343), and Wheaton (379).

Individually, Emily Gastrau from Illinois Wesleyan and Lexi Manteufel from Carthage both shot a two-over-par 73 to share the first-round lead. Gastrau led her team with four Titans ranking among the top six on the leaderboard. Manteufel paced Carthage as they attempt to close the gap on Illinois Wesleyan.

Julia Henry of Illinois Wesleyan and Madison Place of North Central are tied for third after shooting 75 (+4). Gigi Zera from Illinois Wesleyan is in fifth place with a score of 76 (+5).

The tournament continues Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., with Gastrau and Manteufel scheduled to play together in an 11:33 a.m. tee time.
