The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) men’s soccer season continues with competitive matches and significant individual performances shaping the league’s early standings. Last week saw a range of results, including upsets, draws, and defensive showcases.

Augustana's Javi Landin and Illinois Wesleyan's Sam Kedzior were named CCIW Men’s Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday. Landin contributed four assists in Augustana’s 5-2 win over 16th-ranked North Park and scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory against Coe. Kedzior achieved two consecutive shutouts for Illinois Wesleyan, totaling nine saves across non-conference matches.

Augustana reached a .500 record after their upset over North Park. Landin now ranks second in league assists per game. Teammate Sebastian Trujillo scored twice against North Park, while goalkeeper William Gabrielsson leads the CCIW in total saves.

North Central remains unbeaten in three games following a 6-0 win over Carroll and a 1-0 shutout against Trine. The team leads the conference in shots per game, corner kicks, and shutouts. Freshman Joseph Sargent is among the league leaders in goals and points.

Wheaton posted back-to-back shutouts last week, improving to 5-2-3 overall. The Thunder lead the CCIW in total assists and are fourth in goals allowed per game. Forward Luke Vander Kolk tops the conference with nine goals this season.

North Park recovered from its loss to Augustana by defeating Millikin 5-1 on Wednesday. The Vikings are first in goals per game and third in assists per game within the conference.

Carthage played to a high-scoring 4-4 draw with Millikin before losing at Chicago. Goalkeeper Aaron The is second among CCIW keepers for both save percentage and saves per game.

Millikin has one of the strongest offenses in the conference but tied Carthage last Saturday before falling to North Park midweek. Forwards Landon Welch and Bryce Davis each have four goals this season.

Illinois Wesleyan ended its non-conference schedule with a 4-0 shutout over Wabash and currently leads the league in several offensive categories as well as scoring margin. Goalkeeper Sam Kedzior leads multiple defensive statistics for IWU.

Carroll drew Wisconsin-Stevens Point thanks to Nico Hinten’s late goal after losing its league opener to North Central.

Elmhurst continues CCIW play after losing to Wheaton last weekend; goalkeeper Niyen Ruffin has recorded an average of more than four saves per match this season.

"Landin, a freshman from Pontevedra, Spain, assisted on four Augustana goals to help the Vikings upset 16th-ranked North Park 5-2 on Saturday in the CCIW opener in Rock Island. Landin assisted on each of the first four Augie tallies, including Jacob Roffman’s match-winner in the 21st minute."

"Landin also scored the only goal in Augustana’s 1-0 win over Coe last Tuesday in the 26th minute."

"Kedzior earned back-to-back 90-minute shutouts for the Titans last week, making a total of nine saves in non-league action. The senior stopped four shots on target in IWU’s 3-0 win at Eureka last Wednesday, then added five more stops to pace the Titans in their 4-0 clean sheet versus Wabash on Saturday."
