Reigning champion Marian has been named the favorite for the 2025-26 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) women’s bowling season, according to a preseason coaches’ poll released on Friday.

The poll, which is the first preseason CCIW women’s bowling poll in conference history, saw Marian and Carroll each receive three first-place votes. Marian led with 33 total points, while Carroll followed closely behind with 30 points. The Sabres have won or shared all five previous regular-season titles and claimed the last CCIW Tournament championships.

Aurora placed third in the poll with 26 points. Carthage earned fourth place with 19 points, while Elmhurst was fifth with 18 points and one first-place vote. Augustana finished sixth with 15 points, and Illinois Wesleyan rounded out the group in seventh place with six points.

The upcoming season will be the sixth year that women’s bowling has been sponsored by the CCIW. The season will conclude at the 2026 CCIW Championship scheduled for March 21-22.
