Augustana, Carthage, and North Central College have clinched a shared title for the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) men's tennis regular season. Each team concluded the schedule with a 6-1 record.
A 7-0 victory by Augustana against Illinois Wesleyan on Sunday, which was the final match of the CCIW regular season, finalized the three-way tie in the standings. North Central also secured its 6-1 record with a win against Wheaton on Saturday night. This season marks the first time the regular-season title has been shared since a similar occurrence in 2023 when North Central and Carthage split the honor.
North Central is set to enter the CCIW Championship as the top seed. The championship event is planned to start this Thursday in Rock Island, Illinois. The Cardinals achieved the tiebreaker advantage by accumulating the most individual victories in their direct encounters with Augustana and Carthage.
