Rep. Sean Casten, a U.S. Congressman serving Illinois’ 6th district since 2019, shared updates on various initiatives and legislative efforts via Twitter on March 31, 2025. These tweets highlighted his involvement in promoting educational resources, advancing environmental legislative actions, and challenging significant changes within federal agencies.

On March 31, 2025, Rep. Casten emphasized the importance of libraries during National Reading Month by stating he had visited local libraries in "Tinley Park, Chicago Ridge, and Palos Hills to learn more about upcoming community programs and hear how federal funding cuts may impact library resources." The full post can be found here.

Later that day, Casten tweeted about a partnership with Senator Bennet, noting that together they introduced the "Getting Renewable and Energy Efficient Neighborhoods Appraisals Act, legislation to encourage energy-efficient and clean energy features to be considered as part of the residential home buying and appraisal." The full post is available here.

In his final tweet of the day, Casten addressed an issue affecting U.S. international aid, stating: "I joined over 200 House Democrats to challenge and help put a stop to Elon Musk and Donald Trump’s flagrant overreach and illegal dismantling of USAID. Shuttering of USAID puts global stability and US national security at risk." The complete post can be read here.
