Hardworking families across the state are grappling with rising costs, including increased grocery bills, energy prices, and taxes. Amidst these challenges, some politicians in Springfield have been criticized for what is described as "reckless spending," leaving families to manage with limited resources.

In response to these concerns, an endorsement has been made for the IL House Republicans' Relief for Working Families Legislative Package. This package aims to provide tangible relief through several proposed measures.

The legislative package includes HB1351, known as the Reducing Barriers to Start Act, which seeks to eliminate all first-year business fees related to licenses or registration. Another component is HB3807, which introduces the ITRADE Grant Program designed to support high school graduates pursuing degrees or certificates in trades.

Additionally, HB1752 proposes an income tax deduction for employers who offer educational assistance programs to their employees. The package also suggests raising the maximum education expense tax credit from $750 to $1,500 through HB3821.

For those earning less than $50,000 annually, HB3812 offers a waiver on state professional licensing renewal fees. Lastly, HB1383 aims to remove taxes on tips by establishing an income tax deduction for gratuities.
