The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has recognized Augustana's Tyler Knuth as the Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week. This accolade follows Knuth's outstanding performance in a game against Wheaton, where he scored a career-high 38 points, contributing significantly to the Vikings' 101-76 victory.

Hailing from Rockford, Illinois, Knuth showcased his skills by making 12 out of 21 shots and sinking six three-pointers. Additionally, he was nearly perfect at the free-throw line, going 8-for-9, and also recorded a steal on defense during his 26 minutes on the court.

In another impressive display last Saturday, Knuth scored 23 points leading Augustana to an 85-76 win over Illinois Wesleyan. These performances have propelled him into 12th place on Augustana’s all-time scoring list.

The CCIW has been honoring various student-athletes throughout the season. Previous recipients include Ryan Johnson from Carthage and Soren Richardson from Wheaton among others.
