State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro has responded to Governor Pritzker's 2025 State of the State Address, which introduced a $55.2 billion budget, marking it as the largest in state history.
"During a time when residents are craving bipartisanship and unity, Governor Pritzker used his budget address to divisively attack Republicans for the failures caused by his own policies," said Rep. Sanalitro. She attributed issues such as inflation, high taxes, job creators leaving the state, and unsafe communities to the Governor's administration.
Rep. Sanalitro emphasized her approach to governance by stating, "As a lawmaker, I have learned that the only way to do this job is by listening to residents and their true concerns." She criticized Governor Pritzker for focusing on positioning himself for a potential presidential run rather than considering Republican solutions for state issues.
In her second term, Rep. Sanalitro has filed several bills in the 104th General Assembly addressing matters she believes have been overlooked by the Governor. These include efforts to reduce costs for individuals and families, protect crime victims, and improve access to voting and higher education. More details about her legislative agenda can be found on her website.
