Rep. Sean Casten, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Illinois' 6th district since 2019, has recently expressed concerns over various issues through his social media platform. In a series of tweets, he addressed matters related to national security and federal employee conditions.

On February 6, 2025, Rep. Casten tweeted about his apprehensions regarding Elon Musk's access to sensitive data within the Treasury Department. He stated, "As I said in today's Financial Services Committee hearing, Elon Musk's access to sensitive data in the Treasury Department should alarm every single one of us." Casten emphasized the need for vigilance against such access and urged action on behalf of the American people.

Later that day, Casten shared his experience visiting a National Air Traffic Control Center in Illinois. On February 6, 2025, he tweeted about the challenges faced by federal employees working there: "Last week, I spent an afternoon at a National Air Traffic Control Center in Illinois...They are overworked and underpaid." He highlighted their dedication despite these difficulties.

In another tweet on February 6, 2025, Rep. Casten announced his leadership role among House Democrats in addressing concerns with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. He wrote: "I led over 150 House Democrats in a letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent demanding answers on Elon Musk's unprecedented access to US citizen's private data and Treasury payment systems." This move reflects his ongoing commitment to safeguarding citizens' privacy and financial information.
