Today marks National Human Trafficking Awareness Day in the United States. The day serves as a reminder that human trafficking is a pervasive issue, affecting communities nationwide. It encourages individuals to educate themselves on recognizing the signs of human trafficking and to support efforts aimed at eradicating this crime.

Authorities advise reporting any suspicions of human trafficking to local law enforcement or contacting the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888. In situations involving immediate danger, it is recommended to call 911.

The awareness day aligns with broader initiatives such as those recognized by Rep. Grant, who acknowledges January as Human Trafficking Prevention Month.
