DuPage County State’s Attorney Bob Berlin has announced the activation of an Election Day Hotline for the upcoming primary election. The hotline will be operational on March 19, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., coinciding with polling hours. Assistant State’s Attorneys will staff the hotline, and investigators along with local police officers will be ready to address any reported irregularities at polling locations in DuPage County.
The State's Attorney's office aims to ensure compliance with the Illinois Election Code by maintaining communication throughout the day with officials at the DuPage County Clerk’s Office in Wheaton. This collaboration is intended to uphold election integrity and facilitate a smooth voting process for all eligible voters.
Berlin emphasized the importance of free and fair elections, stating, “Free and fair elections are the bedrock of our democracy, and my office is well prepared to ensure that anyone who wishes to exercise their right to vote is allowed to do so free from harassment or intimidation.” He assured that his office, along with local law enforcement and Sheriff’s Deputies, would be available to respond as needed across the county.
Voters with questions or concerns about activities at polling places can reach out either to the DuPage County Clerk at (630) 407-5600 or contact the State’s Attorney’s Office’s Election Hotline at (630) 407-8118.
