State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Hanover Park) hosted a town hall in Carol Stream, Illinois, to address the opioid crisis affecting the state and Chicagoland area. The event was organized with the Illinois Harm Reduction and Recovery Coalition and aimed to reduce addiction stigma while providing essential resources.

Held at the Carol Stream Park District, the town hall featured healthcare professionals, community leaders, and families who discussed strategies for combating opioid addiction. Experts emphasized early intervention and access to treatment as critical components of addressing the issue. Attendees also heard personal recovery stories and were informed about local resources available for addiction prevention and treatment.

"Opioid addiction continues to impact our community, but events like this ensure we can help more families and individuals get the support they need," stated Rep. Sanalitro.

For further details, individuals are encouraged to visit the Illinois Harm Reduction and Recovery Coalition website or contact State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro’s district office at 630-349-0645.

Rep. Sanalitro represents House District 48, which includes several communities in suburban DuPage and Cook counties.
