State Representative Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) recently attended a 9/11 remembrance ceremony in Wheaton, Illinois. The event included local leaders and community members who gathered to honor the lives lost on that tragic day 23 years ago. Among the key community groups present was the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans (MSHV), an organization dedicated to providing affordable housing and support for homeless veterans.

“It’s important that we come together as a community to remember the bravery and sacrifice of so many on 9/11,” said Rep. Grant. “I’m also grateful for organizations like MSHV, whose mission to support veterans reflects the deep respect and gratitude we owe to those who have served our country.”

MSHV is currently looking to expand its efforts in the region to provide more affordable housing and vital services for veterans in need. Rep. Grant expressed support for their work and encouraged community members to get involved in helping address the needs of local veterans.
