Carol Stream, Illinois—Those seeking new employment opportunities are invited to attend a free Jobs Fair hosted by State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) and State Representatives Amy Grant (R-Wheaton) and Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Hanover Park) on August 28 in Carol Stream.

The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. until noon at the Fountain View Recreation Center in the Carol Stream Park District, located at 910 N. Gary Avenue. The fair will feature over 50 employers actively hiring and two workshops: "How to Write a Resume that Gets You Noticed" at 10:00 AM and "Interviewing with Confidence" at 11:00 AM. No registration is required for the workshops.

“Our Jobs Fair provides an excellent opportunity for people to be paired with employers for jobs that suit their skillsets,” said Lewis. “I would encourage all people who are in search of sustainable employment to update their resumes and to come dressed to impress so they can interview at this jobs fair.”

Admission to both the fair and workshops is free, with attendees encouraged to bring updated resumes.

“This event is all about empowering individuals with the resources they need to succeed and helping our local businesses find the talent they’re looking for. I encourage everyone to come out, take advantage of this opportunity to strengthen our local economy,” said Grant.

“Our jobs fair offers community members a chance to take charge of their future and build a better life,” added Sanalitro. “Whether you’re a skilled worker looking to level up or someone ready to dive into a new career, this fair is for you. Thank you to the participating local employers who are ready to invest in our talent.”

Employers participating include Addison Fire Protection District, All About Personnel, Assist Staffing, Bales Metal Surfaces Solutions, Bridgeway Senior Living, Brookfield Zoo, Central Processing Corporation, Chemring Energetic Devices, ComForCare Homecare, Davies Molding, DuPage County Workforce Development Division, Essedant, Express Employment Professionals, FP Mailing Solutions, Fastenal, Gerber Collision & Glass America among others.
