A free Jobs Fair will be hosted by State Senator Seth Lewis (R-Bartlett) and State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Hanover Park) on August 28 in Carol Stream. The event aims to assist individuals seeking new employment or career opportunities.

The Jobs Fair is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. until noon at Fountain View Recreation Center, located within the Carol Stream Park District at 910 N. Gary Avenue. Over 50 employers will be present, and the fair will feature workshops including "How to Write a Resume that Gets You Noticed" at 10:00 AM and "Interviewing with Confidence" at 11:00 AM. No registration is required for these workshops.

“Our Jobs Fair provides an excellent opportunity for people to be paired with employers for jobs that suit their skillsets,” said Lewis. “I would encourage all people who are in search of sustainable employment to update their resumes and to come dressed to impress so they can interview at this jobs fair.”

Admission to the fair and workshops is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring updated resumes.

“Our jobs fair offers community members a chance to take charge of their future and build a better life,” said Sanalitro. “Whether you’re a skilled worker looking to level up or someone ready to dive into a new career, this fair is for you. Thank you to the participating local employers who are ready to invest in our talent.”

“This event is all about empowering individuals with the resources they need to succeed and helping our local businesses find the talent they’re looking for. I encourage everyone to come out, take advantage of this opportunity to strengthen our local economy,” said Grant.

Participating employers include Addison Fire Protection District, All About Personnel, Assist Staffing, Bales Metal Surfaces Solutions, Bridgeway Senior Living, Brookfield Zoo, Central Processing Corporation, Chemring Energetic Devices, ComForCare Homecare, Davies Molding, DuPage County Workforce Development Division, Essedant, Express Employment Professionals, FP Mailing Solutions, Fastenal, Gerber Collision & Glass America among others.
