Spring legislative session adjourned, marking the beginning of summer. This bill follows a CBS Chicago report about a woman's stolen opioid prescription, revealing a loophole in pharmacy privacy protections. "Protecting our constituents’ privacy, particularly when it concerns their healthcare, is paramount," stated Rep. Grant. She emphasized the severity of the opioid crisis in Illinois, noting that it has claimed more lives than motor vehicle accidents and homicides combined.
