The Illinois Conservation Foundation is once again offering its annual Conservation Achievement Scholarship to encourage and support future leaders in the preservation of outdoor spaces. This scholarship aims to inspire young individuals to care for and enhance the natural beauty of Illinois.

According to the foundation, "Every year, up to four scholarships worth $2,000 each are awarded to exceptional Illinois high school seniors." Recipients of these scholarships are students who have demonstrated a strong dedication to conserving and protecting the state's environment.

Since its inception in 2005, the scholarship program has made a significant impact, awarding a total of $174,000 to 85 deserving students. This achievement has been made possible through the generous contributions of various donors who share the foundation's commitment to environmental conservation.

Applicants for the scholarship must meet specific criteria, as stated by the foundation: "To apply, you must live in Illinois and be a high school senior in the state." The deadline for applications is fast approaching, with submissions due on March 1st. Those interested in applying can do so by visiting the following link: https://ilconservation.org/What-We-Do/Scholarships.

In the words of the Illinois Conservation Foundation, "Join the Illinois Conservation Foundation in making a difference for Illinois’ environment!" Take this opportunity to contribute to the preservation and improvement of the state's outdoor spaces while also supporting the development of future environmental leaders. Apply before the March 1st deadline to be considered for this prestigious scholarship.
