Niki Conforti, a candidate for the 6th Congressional District, has expressed confidence in the validity of objections filed against President Joe Biden's inclusion on the Illinois primary ballot, potentially jeopardizing his candidacy. A group of Illinois voters have objected to Biden’s candidacy based on a 14th Amendment challenge, the same type of challenge pursued by Democrats against former President Donald Trump.
“Objections were filed against Joe Biden’s petitions for not complying with Illinois election law,” Conforti said on Facebook.
“This is a hard one to deny! He may be kicked off the ballot!”
“It’s going to get interesting!”
The Center Square reported that one objection alleges that Biden has provided aid or comfort to enemies through his open border policies and by leaving military equipment in Afghanistan for the Taliban. Another objection by Beth Findley Smith targets the notarization of Biden’s statement of candidacy, arguing it was notarized in the District of Columbia instead of by an Illinois official as required by state law. The Illinois State Board of Elections is set to hold a special meeting to address these objections, with ballot certification expected on Jan. 30 for the March 19 primary.
Conforti's professional background includes work as an energy consultant and a 12-year tenure in healthcare within large health systems. She holds a degree from the University of Chicago School of Economics and an MBA in Healthcare Administration from George Washington University. Her family history is marked by immigration, and she carries a military tradition within her familial roots. In addition to her political aspirations, Conforti actively participates in community service and philanthropy, contributing to initiatives organized by her church and supporting organizations such as International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) and Mothers2Mothers Charities, according to information available on her website.
