Winter is here, and as the year comes to an end, it’s a great time to think about what you can do to help others. December isn’t just for holiday fun; it’s also a chance to really help people in our community.

State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro has been leading various community initiatives and celebrations, aiming to make a positive impact on those in need.

One of the ongoing initiatives is the 1st Annual Holiday Food and Coat Drive. Representative Sanalitro's office is collecting nonperishable food items and gently worn or new winter clothes to support those in need this holiday season. The drive will continue until December 15th at 962 W. Army Trail Rd. in Carol Stream, IL.

Representative Sanalitro emphasizes the importance of community involvement in this noble cause. She believes that every can of food and each coat can make a difference in someone's life. She invites everyone to join in and ensure a warmer and more bountiful holiday for their neighbors.

In addition to the food and coat drive, Representative Sanalitro is launching a Small Business Needs Assessment. This assessment aims to understand the insights and opinions of small business owners in the region, helping to address the unique challenges within Illinois' business landscape. Small business owners are encouraged to take the assessment, while others are invited to share it with small business owners they may know.

Representative Sanalitro recently celebrated the Hindu festival of Diwali at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Bartlett, Illinois. She was amazed by the temple's craftsmanship and the warmth of the community. She wishes everyone a joyous, prosperous, and safe Diwali.

Aside from community initiatives and celebrations, Representative Sanalitro took the time to tour local industries in the area. She visited Quest Diagnostics in Itasca, where she was impressed by their advancements in the healthcare space. She also commemorated the 40th anniversary of Cherry's Industrial Equipment in Roselle, a company known for its excellence in ergonomic and safety solutions for the workforce.

The community came together for the Prescription Drug Drop-Off Event at the Roselle Police Department, organized by Representative Sanalitro. The event aimed to collect unused and expired medications for safe disposal, reducing the potential for abuse and creating a healthier environment for all.

Lastly, Representative Sanalitro celebrated the opening of the new Addison Township Road Testing Center. This facility provides convenient service for residents in need of a driver's exam to obtain or renew their driver's license.

State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro continues to serve House District 48, comprising Addison, Bensenville, Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Elk Grove, Hanover Park, Itasca, Medinah, Roselle, Schaumburg, and Wood Dale in suburban DuPage and Cook counties.
