Softball Drops Morning Matchup with Luther | Elmhurst University
The Elmhurst University softball team dropped an early morning matchup to Luther College, 2-9, Thursday in their third game of The Spring Games.
Elmhurst (5-2, 0-0 CCIW) surrendered four runs before the fourth inning, and gave up the most runs in a game this season (nine). Luther tallied 11 hits in the contest and knocked three home runs to power their way to victory and improve to 15-2 overall.
Reese Coon led the Bluejays at the plate with a 2-for-4 effort, while Brenna Morley recorded an RBI for Elmhurst in the game. In the circle, Chiara O'Leary took the loss to drop to 2-2 on the season after giving up three runs in three innings. Alex Kiriakopoulos pitched the other four innings, giving up five runs and striking out three batters.

Elmhurst plays a pair of games tomorrow, March 24, against Manchester University at 1:00 p.m. and Carleton College at 3:30 p.m. CT in Orlando.
