March is National Athletic Training Month. To help celebrate we will spotlight some of the unsung and in some cases unseen members of the Benedictine University Department of Athletics throughout the month. The motto for 2002 is Providing Health Care Everywhere.

Why did you become an athletic trainer?
I became an athletic trainer because it is a great opportunity to help individuals on a daily basis and combined my 2 favorite things : science and sports
What is your favorite athletic training memory?
Being part of a national championship team when I was in graduate school and of course passing my BOC.
Do you have any skills or specialties that you would like to highlight?
I am currently interested in pursuing my CSCS to expand my skill set to continue to help my athletes.
The theme for this year's athletic training month is "Providing Health Care Everywhere". During your experiences as an athletic trainer, what does that mean to you?
I think providing healthcare everywhere means as a profession we are willing to adapt to our environment in the healthcare system and do whatever it takes to get the job done for our patients and athletes.
What would your advice be to a student who wants to pursue a career in athletic training?
Athletic training is all about building relationships and as you study the textbook also work on being relatable as that will enhance your patient outcomes.
