East student invited to national German skills competition

Congratulations to Glenbard East student Annalee Kalbfleisch on being one of 16 students from the United States invited to the National Round of the Goethe Institut’s Internationale Deutscholympiade or German Olympics. Kalbfleisch participated in preliminary rounds of the competition, representing Glenbard East and the Midwest in a variety of German speaking, listening, reading and writing competitions.

Glenbard East students Hannah Hadraba, Ben Judd and Eva Mathie also participated in the preliminary rounds.

COVID-19 dashboard updated

We updated data on our COVID-19 dashboard. The dashboard is updated each week that school is in session.

Custodial service partner is hiring

Due to a national labor shortage, we are experiencing shortages in custodial service. Our contracted third-party vendor, ABM, is hiring custodial staff to work in Glenbard District 87. Apply at this link. Please share the information with those in a job search.

Fund-raiser tomorrow to benefit forensics team

The Glenbard West forensics team will hold a fund-raiser from 4 to 8 p.m. Jan. 11 at Chipotle, 695 Roosevelt Road in Glen Ellyn. A third of event sales will be donated to the forensics team.

Stay home if you are symptomatic

It is important to stay home if you are symptomatic and to get tested before returning to stop the spread of COVID-19.
